OH.MY.GOODNESS

Hello my lovely readers! I know, I know it has been absolutely FOREVER since I've blogged. I believe more than a month? My sincere apologies, school started and the teachers have just been piling on the homework like CRAAZY! Then on the weekends I have to study/review/chill with my friends/sleep, so I haven't had any time at all to blog : ( So today, while volunteering at one of our malls, I had an ingenious idea to create a blog post everyday (I promise I'll try) and it'll be like my day in picture! Wouldn't that be great? Or maybe I'll create a youtube channel where I'll post follow me around videos.....actually, I like the "my day in pictures" idea better. So, tomorrow's Sunday so I'll see if I can get a post up with pictures. Let me know if you guys want a post everyday or every couple of days!

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR READING!!

XOXO,
Helen

CHECK OUT MY POLYVORE!!

Hello my lovely readers! I thought I'd tell you all to go check out my Polyvore.

In and Out

Hello my lovely readers!
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I've been VERY busy with tennis! I tried out for my school's varsity team and MADE IT! So today, I had some free time, and I decided to do a little IN and OUT!

IN:
BACKPACKS:
-In high school, the lockers are SO much more smaller than the ones we have in middle school, so we have to carry around almost EVERYTHING with us to our classes. I got a red, North Face, "Recon" bag yesterday! (first day is sept. 7)

CLEAN ROOMS:
-I recently cleaned out my bedroom and closet and WOW does it look good clean! Everything is so much easier to find and my room looks bigger, nicer, and I have more space!

TEXTING:
-I got my texting taken away a couple of months ago (blocked as well) and I'm getting it back today!!!

NYC:
-My family and I are taking a short little Labor Day trip to New York City on Thursday, and we're coming back Monday. I start school the next day (tues.) so it's pretty tight, but nevertheless I'm EXCITED!!!

AFTERNOON NAPS:
-I have tennis everyday from 9-12:30 and I'm EXHAUSTED by the time I get home, so after lunch I take a short little nap and I feel so refreshed afterwards. : )

OUT:
TOTES:
-(see my descrpition above for backpacks) Lugging a tote around packed to the brim with textbooks is NOT fun!

HUMIDITY:
-The weather up til Thursday was GREAT; Sunny, slight breeze, not to hot, not to cold, but on Thursday everything felt so muggy! It rained slighty on Friday/Saturday,but it's STILL humid!!

PIN-STRAIGHT HAIR:
-Sure, every girl was probably obsessed with pin-straight hair at some point of their lives, but that phase has ended with me this summer. I got a Japanese perm last summer, and it still hasn't worn off so my hair's completely straight unless I mess with it. So I've taken to leaving my hair in a french braid when it's wet, and sleeping on it so I wake up to lovely curls in my hair!

Yours Truly,
Helen

A Writing Piece

Hello my lovely readers!
I know most of you are here for the fashion but I'd like to share a piece of my writing that I recently wrote.

As I lay here, I feel the warm, summer breeze. I see the loose stands of grass tumble around freely, while dancing to the rhythm of nature. A loud humming of machines interrupts the soothing balance. When I close my eyes I can hear baby birds chirping and the happy chatter of nearby children playing. I run my fingers along the rough and grainy exterior of the rock that I am sitting on, and the sun is beating down upon my body. People walk across my path and for a second I catch a glimpse of what they’re saying. Clusters of vibrant magenta morning glories sway with the wind. I take in a deep breath and inhale the sweet, yet subtle fragrance that swirls in the air. If it weren’t for the streets lights, the tall stone buildings, and the raging sirens blaring in the background, it would be as if I was sitting in a soft, grass-filled plain. There are people eating nearby and the smell of fried food drifts under my nose. A stone paved walkway has cracks filled in with moss, giving away the old age of the area. I see an ant carefully crawl onto the stones and escape to safety by leaping gracefully into the grass. For a second everything is peaceful, but then a strong gust of wind blows my way, and everything jumps to life again. An old, brown, crusty leaf blows my way with a pitter-patter sound on the pavement. I look up and see the sky covered with clouds, except in the areas where the sun cautiously peeks through, like a baby playing his first game of peek-a-boo. The scenes of nature make me want to jump in and join them.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

School

Hello my lovely readers!

How has your summer been so far? I know a lot of people are going back to school soon and I was just wondering when are YOU going back to school? My first day of school starts on SEPTEMBER 7, so I have exactly one month left. I'm excited because it'll be my first day of HIGH SCHOOL!! I'm going to be a freshman next year and oh my god am I excited! I love going back to school shopping. The organized feeling you get when you buy all the folders, binders, higlighters, pencils, etc. Not to mention CLOTHES and SHOES and ACCESSORIES and MAKEUP! <<< Wow, I just realized how shallow that sounded. : ( I'm also wondering where you guys shop for clothing and accessories. I go to Forever 21, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Urban Outfitters, Bebe, and Macy's. I need some new places to shop!

It's Helen again and long time no blog. *sigh* Oh my goodness do I love the sights, the smells, and the the sounds of summer. The sun beating down upon my bikini clad body and the cool splash of the aqua pool water. So far I've gone to Washington, D.C, Hershey Park, Darien Lake, and way too many movies for me to count. Inspiration

Today I felt as if I needed to go through all my Vogues, my Elles, my Luckys, m Seventeens, my TeenVogues, my HarparBazaars, and find inspiration. I felt so unstylish today. It could be because it's a Monday, but that's no excuse. So here are some photographs to get your and my juices pumping and starting screaming off the roofs again. Here's to style!

I love you all!

HAPPY (almost) CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

Yay!
It's Chinese New Year in China!
Since my family lives in the U.S. we got up at like 6am in the morning to watch the celebration on our telly. (dish network international) It was great and I believe it is still going. Lots of amazing performers, gymnasts, acrobats, singer, and comedians. Today in our Asian Community we're having a celebration as well. Wow, I feel like I'm writing an essay, I sound so formal. Anyhoo, I'm in two dances, for those of you who don't know, I'm a dancer. I take ballet, hip hop, chinese dance, and character. However I love ballet the most. I have it everyday except Wednesday and Sunday.

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year, even though technically here in the U.S, it's tomorrow!

love always,
Helen <3
